    Job Description
    Title: Account Executive

    Location: Washington office of Lipman Hearne

    Reports to: Account Manager

    Overview:

    The primary responsibility for an account executive is to work to support client engagements, with a focus on media relations, event management and project management as it pertains to message and materials development. We anticipate that work will be with clients in our health & wellness practice. However, we are looking for individuals with diverse backgrounds and wide-ranging interests as we anticipate – and will encourage – client work that includes organizations in health and healthcare, as well as community engagement, education and international organizations. Language skills are a plus.

    The Washington office of Lipman Hearne features an exciting portfolio of clients who are pursuing innovative approaches to transforming health, education and community. Client service is at the center of everything we do and we are looking for individuals who share a passion for exceptional results and measurable outcomes.


    Requirements
    Responsibilities and Duties:

    • Strong writing and editing skills, with a background in writing, editing and distribution of press releases

    • Media relations experience with a track record of achieving results that connect with traditional media and social and mobile media outlets

    • Experience with all relevant software and media relations tools such as Lexis-Nexis, Cision and social media platforms

    • A curious mind, initiative and strong analytical skills, and experience creating media audits and analysis

    • Because Lipman Hearne is an integrated marketing agency, we expect this individual to have a public relations mindset, but also be able to work with our creative, interactive/digital and media planning groups to support fully integrated marketing campaigns

    • Strong communications and interpersonal skills

    • Project management experience, which includes budget management and invoice development and an understanding of what’s needed to provide exceptional client service

    Minimum Requirements:

    The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and 2 to 4 years experience in communications and marketing with a strong public relations background. We are looking for individuals who like to work hard, have fun, are personally motivated and are able to multi-task.
